Our Mission

Community Involvement

At Rose City Learning Center, we believe in the power of community to create lasting change. Our partnerships with local organizations allow us to extend resources and opportunities beyond the classroom, ensuring our learners have access to the full range of support needed to succeed in their personal and professional lives.

We actively collaborate with a variety of local and regional organizations, including United Community and Family Services, Catholic Charities, Otis Library, Norwich Free Academy, Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce, CT State Community College Three Rivers, and many others. These partnerships provide our learners with vital connections to services such as healthcare, legal aid, employment opportunities, financial literacy, and educational advancement.

Our Community Workshops take learning beyond the classroom, engaging students with local resources and helping them build life skills through practical, hands-on experiences. Whether meeting at a local bank to learn about budgeting and credit, or attending workshops at cultural and educational institutions like Otis Library, our students gain knowledge that directly impacts their ability to thrive in the Norwich community.

In addition to partnerships, we are deeply committed to addressing the real-world challenges our learners face. We provide individualized success plans for every student, and our support services team works to overcome barriers such as transportation, childcare, and housing insecurity, ensuring each learner has the tools they need to achieve independence and stability.

By staying deeply connected with local organizations, businesses, and community leaders, we not only empower our students but also contribute to the growth and vitality of the greater Norwich area.
